    Position Specific Description

    The Marketing & Communications FCG Communications Specialist role champions external and internal initiatives for Florida City Gas. This position provides marketing communications support to ensure the successful implementation of Florida City Gas initiatives with employees, customers and stakeholders.

    Job Overview

    • This job is responsible for assisting with projects from the earliest stages of concept and development to successful, on-time completion as measured by achievement of metrics. Employees in this role provide support in developing and executing communication plans and initiatives to support business objectives. Individuals in this position are expected to understand business needs and develop communication solutions. The position requires a self-driven exceptional communicator with strong project management skills.

    • Employees in this role work closely with senior leadership, business development, customer service, and operations to grow the customer base, while ensuring existing customers receive safety and energy efficiency messages and incentives to support customer retention.

    • Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assists with communication planning

    • Develops key messages using research and analytics

    • Follows internal processes, demonstrates discipline and organization in executing assignments and plans

    • Builds and maintains great relationships with business partners and peers

    • Tracks performance and progress using quantifiable metrics

    • Works at both business unit and corporate levels

    • Supports senior leadership in employee engagement communications including town hall meetings and written communications

    • Draft content for marketing materials including print, web, social, video and photo

    • Lead the development of emergency planning statements for leak events and severe weather

    • Support regulatory requirements in communicating with customers including safety and energy savings messages

    • Supports development of internal employee communications

    • Ensures regulatory and safety communication requirements are met annually

    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    3+ years of experience in communications, experience with PR, media relations and business development is a plus
