Title: Electronic Assembler KBR, Inc. is seeking an Electronic Assembler for our office in Columbia, Maryland. Duties will include: + Construct assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, wiring hams, cables, etc., in single or production quantities from mechanical drawings; testing and verification of the parts against the drawings + Works from detail configuration drawings, wire lists, and cable rundown lists for proper inter system equipment connections + Tailors and fabricates cable assemblies as required + Installs cable assemblies using standard written and generally accepted techniques including the provision for cable service loops and for proper cable routing + Performs mechanical assembly of equipment and must be able to physically lift or move equipment, sub assemblies and components weighing up to 51 lbs + Uses general-purpose visual and audible testing instruments as well as specialized test sets to verify correctness of work + Assists other higher-level assemblers and engineering personnel in the performance of their work, consistent with own background and training. + Performs other related duties as required Qualifications: + This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. U.S Citizenship required. An active Secret clearance is highly desired. + Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or related field, or military technical training program, or completion of technical institute program. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail + Two years of directly related experience as an Electronic Assembler or formal electronics technical training + Must be able to assemble parts per drawing packages or thru direction from higher-level technicians or engineers + Must be able to use hand and power tools to perform assembly operations to include wire wrap and terminal connection installation + Requires the ability to lift or move equipment up to 51lbs Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
