    The Financial Accountant will:

    • Update fixed assets system for any additions, transfers or deletions on a monthly basis for assigned subsidiary companies and ensures appropriate documentation is retained to support changes
    • Run and post fixed asset depreciation for assigned companies
    • Reconcile fixed asset accounts in the GL and prepare related schedules for internal reporting as well as audit
    • Perform conversion of multiple foreign subsidiary financials to U.S. Dollars
    • Prepare, review, and enter monthly and quarterly journal entries for financial close
    • Prepare complex reconciliations of various GL accounts for multiple facilities in multiple currencies
    • Review reconciliations of various GL accounts performed by other financial accountants
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual spreadsheets and audit schedules
    • Review company departmentals to investigate, identify and resolve fluctuations or errors
    • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting information

    The ideal candidate should have/be:

    • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and practices and the analysis of financial data
    • Skilled and proficient with the use of personal computers; including complex financial spreadsheet analysis, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and other mainstream office software and 10-key by touch
    • Strong self-management skills with the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
    • Proven ability to balance attention to detail within broader time limitations
    • Ability to build and foster effective business relationships with vendors, customers and other departments within an organization
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to formulate and deliver ideas and material in a clear and concise manner
    • Ability to identify accounting concerns/risks, review related information, and apply solid innovative thinking to develop, evaluate and recommend solutions
    • Ability to work irregular and/or long hours that may include weekends and/or holidays as business and financial reporting requirements dictate

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required; CPA is a plus.
    • 3+ years of business accounting experience, preferably in a multi-facility, publically traded manufacturing company

    Working Conditions:

    Work performed in an office environment, with frequent sitting for extended periods of time and occasional lifting of 10 pounds independently; and stooping, reaching, and/or bending to perform accounting clerical/filing requirements.
