    Currently, we are looking for a Workforce Analytics Intern to join the ArcBest team. The Workforce Analytics Intern collects and analyzes Human Resources (HR) data and metrics to identify important trends. This individual is responsible for ensuring that the data is accurate and presented it in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to key stakeholders.

    Your contribution may include:

    • Establish strong cross-functional relationships to fully understand the business and factors of success in the industry.

    • Work with business units and HR personnel to develop relevant HR metrics.

    • Generate regular and ad hoc reports on specific HR metrics.

    • Develop and maintain procedures for the metrics report generating process.

    • Ensure data accuracy by completely following all Company-outlined procedures.

    • Examine and identify key trends in the data.

    • Work with AB Tech Data Science to develop ArcBest Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive Analytics in HR and Talent Management.

    • Present relevant trends in clear, succinct reports to key stakeholders, and demonstrate the implications of these trends on the business.

    • Investigate possible methods of improving and/or increasing the automation of the reporting process.

    • Assist the Workforce Analytics team with all HR reporting requests from internal and external customers.

    • Assist the Workforce Analytics team in all on-going projects.

    • Improve efficiency in current processes.

    • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

    As a Workforce Analytics Intern, you will be a member of the ArcBest People Services team in Fort Smith, AR. This is a part time internship position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Typical hours will fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

    Education: Currently seeking a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field of study, preferred.

    Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Basic knowledge of Structured Query Language and Power BI, preferred.

    Other Requirements: Significant knowledge of HR systems and databases. Ability to help generate relevant metrics to further business and HR strategic initiatives and priorities. Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and identify key trends. Ability to present data in a logical, concise manner. Ability to explain data and metrics to a non-technical audience.
