Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description

In need of an Accounting Manager to join a forward-looking company, Robert Half is searching for an individual that is eager, ambitious, and experienced. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Your responsibilities in this role

• Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

• Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

• Work to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

• Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement

• Ability to enter, compare, and present inventory data in an efficient and accurate manner

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree

• 3+ years of recent relevant financial experience

• Experience with Inventory accounting and analysis

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Prior experience with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics is a plus

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel

• Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
