  • The Microsoft Global Workplace Services (GWS) Compliance team collaborates across the global GWS organization to relentlessly embody and drive a culture of ethics, integrity, compliance, accountability, and transparency. As trusted advisors, they support efforts to build processes to proactively anticipate and mitigate potential risks. The team is responsible for developing and delivering broad risk management strategies for GWS, including programs for compliance training and awareness, supplier governance, and compliance monitoring.

    We are seeking a Compliance Program Manager to join our team. The Compliance Program Manager will report to the Director of Strategy and Governance and will work closely with different functions across GWS and other groups at Microsoft including Procurement, Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance (ARC), Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) and the Office of Legal Compliance (OLC).

    Responsibilities

    • Govern procedures and best practices for operating within Microsoft policies; notify all impacted parties of any changes to Microsoft policies and/or GWS guidelines.

    • Deliver impactful and role-based compliance training and awareness; ensure and maintain appropriate levels of compliance training for the global GWS organization.

    • Drive programs and support initiatives that support multiple functions and teams. Deliverable examples: project plans, schedule, risks, and mitigation tactics.

    • Collaborate across the Compliance Community to learn from and build on the work of others.

    • Share feedback with and help deliver compliance outcomes with partners such as CELA, Procurement, Finance, ARC and Microsoft policy owners.

    • Promote a culture of compliance and ethics through your words and actions.

    • Identify and implement impactful opportunities for compliance automation.

    • Collaborate across teams to ensure communication and application of the same regulations and standards.

    • Synthesize findings within workstream and identify links to broader strategic efforts.

    • Identify and escalate non-conformance.

    • Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders.

    • Leverage data and insights to drive informed business decisions.

    • Create clarity in ambiguous situations.

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field AND 4+ years of finance or financial compliance experience

    • OR equivalent experience.

    Additional/Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in program management or complex project management role.

    Finance Compliance IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
