    The Gaming Controller will work in close partnership with stakeholders across the Consumer Sales Organization (CSO). This role will collaborate across Microsoft, engaging with Engineering Finance, Micosoft Cloud Innovations and Operations, Microsoft Consumer Business Finance, Engineering and Marketing teams. This position will help drive the strategy, analytics and insight into the Gaming Content Portfolio on all first-party Storefronts.

    This is a high impact position with the opportunity to deliver direct and significant impact to the Gaming and Microsoft P&L (Profit & Loss). The position has a high level of exposure to Experiences, Devices, and Marketing (EDM) Finance leadership team. It requires financial and business acumen as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Financial P&L Management:? Lead Key Financial ROB that includes working closely with many different work stream owners to meet P&L objectives and report results thru close, MBR, and Quarterly reviews and Earnings.?

    • Financial Reporting & Analysis:? Analyze and present executive quality financial results performance to leadership teams. This includes monitoring P&L trends, key drivers, revenue, and resource investments against plan/forecast assumptions.

    • Proven ability to look beyond the numbers. Effective at cultivating diverse data outlets and connecting the information into a cohesive qualitative story. Ability to objectively formulate opinions and defend viewpoints with business partners instead of just reporting out what partners think.

    • Challenge existing norms or courses of action, facilitating fully informed decision making. Creates constructive friction by fearlessly asking the right questions and challenging assumptions.

    • Establish an in-depth knowledge of our products to support detailed financial analysis

    • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and modeling

    • Delivers Results through Teamwork: Work through others and across teams, establishing high standards of performance and creating a climate of mutual accountability that delivers expected business results.

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

    • OR equivalent experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • CPA or MBA

    • Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way

    • Effective written and oral communication with a variety of levels of personnel including CVP's

    • Analytical and problem solving skills and attention to reporting accuracy

    • Knowledge of MS Finance tools and policies

    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing tasks/priorities

    Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
