Successful biotech company is looking to add on a Assistant Controller to their growing team.

You will be part of the elite team managing accounting process and leading the close and financial audits.

responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable and payroll.

• Review clinical and CMC accruals with business partners.

• Perform various technical accounting analyses, including financial implications of proposed licensing and other contracts and transactions.

• Maintain internal and operational controls necessary to monitor performance and comply with SOX 404, as required.

• Lead process improvement initiatives, and other projects as determined.

• Act as primary liaison with external auditors; prepare and coordinate all appropriate material for quarterly reviews and annual audits.

• Coordinate tax compliance, including overseeing the preparation of tax returns and other required tax filings.

qualifications

Requirement

• Bachelor's or master's in accounting;

• CPA preferred.

• 15 years of progressive experience in public and private accounting

• Experience in biotech or life science industry is strongly preferred.

• Thorough knowledge if US GAAP principles

• Proficiency in accounting software; experience in implementation of ERP preferred.
