Robert Half is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join a thriving company. If selected, you will implement financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Other essential tasks include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This role via Robert Half provides an exciting opportunity to perform in a business partner capacity in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management with fellow colleagues. This Financial Analyst role, which is located in the Salinas, California, is a permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes

• Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

• The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations

• Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)

• Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

• Edit and manage forecasting reports

• Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date

• Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

• Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources r

• Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are properly executed

• Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

• Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience a plus)

• Strong communication and social skills

• Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

• Experience with financial auditing

• Practical knowledge of Data Analysis

• US GAAP experience preferred

• Data Analytics experience highly preferred

• Good understanding of business analysis

• Demonstrated knowledge of Spreadsheets

• General familiarity with Public Schools

• Earlier work involving Statistical Data Analysis

• Adeptness in Financial Audits

• Foundational knowledge in Fiscal Management

• Proficiency in Fiscal Policy

• Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting

• Background working with Perform Data Analysis

• Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

• Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

• Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
