ITW Residential & Renovation offers a broad range of professional grade anchoring tools and fasteners for numerous construction applications. Our products include wood to wood fastening systems (Paslode), structural wood fasteners (GRK Fasteners), concrete anchoring systems (Tapcon®, Red Head®, Ramset®), underlayment screws (Rock-On®, Backer-On®), self-drilling screws (Teks®) and drywall anchoring systems (E-Z Ancor®). ITW Residential & Renovation excels in meeting the growing demands from Pro end-users for high-quality home improvement and construction fastening products. ITW Residential & Renovation division is seeking an accomplished Global Operations Director to drive operational excellence, enhance our manufacturing capabilities for 80 products and drive a consolidation of our operational footprint, towards enabling business growth and driving best-in-class customer service levels

The Operations Director will serve as a critical member of the Residential & Renovation leadership team.? The Operations Director is responsible for developing a high-performance team across the functions of manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing,. packaging and distribution.??? The role ensures timely delivery of a quality product, in quantities that meet sales demand and at a cost that insures profitability and growth consistent with ITW objectives.?

The operations leader will also champion safety and the 80/20 framework within all of the operations locations, as well as the division.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic manufacturing and distribution center plans to establish procedures for maintaining high standards of operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.

• Collaborate across the organization by working with regional and global manufacturing and sourcing functions to implement strategies and action plans that deliver the most efficient and effective supply chain and distribution.? Consistently reduces costs through productivity gains and souring improvements.

• Evaluate operational footprint against market trends, to make strategic decisions that will enable business growth

• Execute division's inventory and procurement processes working with both third party and intercompany partners.

• Define key performance metrics and monitor performance to exceed KPI targets. Drive operational excellence in support of meeting or exceeding the division's financial targets within the Annual Plan and Long Range Plan.

• Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity, and reduce cost, scrap and rework.

• Oversee the management of inventory to ensure that customer service levels delight our customers while managing to ITW's inventory philosophy.

• Coach, mentor and develop talent within the team.? Build a diverse, high performing organization.?

• Provide strong leadership to the division's safety programs ensuring employee engagement in safety that sustains or develops a strong safety culture.

• Drive compliance with compliance with state and federal regulations and company standards.

• Develop self and coach division on 80/20 toolbox implementation

• Degree in Management, Operations or equivalent

• Demonstrated experience as an influential operations leader

• Results-orientated business leader who anticipates business needs and risks and drives action planning that ensures division meets or exceeds financial goals.

• Comfortable leading, coaching and developing a high-performance global team across multiple locations (US and China)

• Strong operations experience and drive for continuous improvements.

• Broad ITW 80/20 Business Model expertise.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically ability to tailor delivery of information (ability to simplify complex information and get to detail).

• Demonstrated ability to align functional delivery with the strategic goals of the business (new add)

• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills

• Must be able to manage multiple priorities with highly effective follow through skills

• Strong financial acumen

• Ability to travel (upt0 30%)

Most time will be spent in an office or manufacturing environment. Position may require some travel.
