    Job Description Summary:

    The Manager, Compliance Program Operations is responsible for managing and enhancing key operational Compliance programs including but not limited to training, communications, policies and procedures, conflicts of interest and exclusion screening, and providing responsive guidance to compliance and privacy related inquiries.

    This role will report to the VP, Compliance & Privacy Operations, and will more broadly support department leadership by:

    • Supporting the execution of the department's mission and completion of the Annual Compliance & Privacy Workplan.

    • Leading and contributing to compliance and privacy projects and initiatives and coordinating regulatory response as assigned, ensuring timely and efficient execution and driving continuous process improvement.

    • Assessing the effectiveness of Company's compliance program and implementing strategies to address regulatory and compliance risks.

    • Ensuring that Option Care maintains compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to healthcare operations.

    • Managing and developing Compliance team members.

    Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

    • Supports department leadership with the coordination, implementation, and oversight of programs and projects related to the Compliance and Privacy program, including assisting with completing projects on the annual Compliance & Privacy Workplan. Works cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders throughout to ensure successful and effective project initiation, management and execution. Identifies issues and concerns, makes recommendations, and takes necessary action.

    • Develops, reviews, implements and communicates Compliance policies and procedures to maintain accuracy, currency and clarity of Company standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical conduct.

    • Leads the exclusion screening program of employees, prescribers, and vendors; coordinates cross-functionally to ensure timely and efficient execution consistent with established department objectives, organizational policy, and industry standards. Reports on exclusion screening findings, ensures corrective action such as claim refunds, removal of excluded entities and required notification to external parties is completed.

    • Manages the department's monitoring activities related to conflict-of-interest disclosure review, and records retention, storage and destruction as directed by Compliance & Privacy management.

    • Develops progressive and effective compliance training programs and communication campaigns to educate team members on the legal and ethical standards that apply to their jobs and ensures that such training reflects the latest developments in law and business ethics and is engaging to the audiences.

    • Manages the intake, review and response of the Compliance email boxes and intake mechanisms to the department. Supervises and implements process changes due to new or amended regulations, corrective action planning or in response to other needs of the business.

    • Manages Compliance & Privacy Specialists workload, training, and development. Supervises performance of department projects and assignments to ensure timelines, key milestones and deliverables are completed efficiently and according to project scope as directed by Management. Foster a team culture of diversity, inclusion, connectivity and professional growth.

    • Prepares and monitors production of reports, presentation decks and other materials for Compliance & Privacy Management and Board of Directors related to department activities.

    • Ensures Compliance & Privacy intranet page on OCHO is up to date; facilities communications, visibility, and awareness of the Compliance & Privacy program on other company platforms and venues as directed by Department Management.

    • Provides compliance advice and direction to stakeholders; prepares presentations, reports, policies, and corrective action plans to address gaps and findings to ensure compliance standards are continuously met.

    • Under direction of leadership, prepares correspondence, notification of and response to compliance and privacy matters and inquiries to third parties, including patients, payers, to federal, state, and/or municipal regulators or law enforcement officials.

    • Serves as Compliance & Privacy Department representative on Committees and project teams; Provides regular updates and reports out to the Compliance & Privacy Team and Management

    • Supports compliance and privacy integration initiatives with new business models.

    Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree required, preferred in healthcare administration, business administration, legal studies, or related field

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare compliance and privacy program operations or related field, including at least 2-3 years in direct supervisory role with oversight of compliance professionals

    Basic Qualifications

    • Understanding of health care Compliance & Privacy regulations, policies, and standards and experience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations. Demonstrated ability to address compliance and privacy concerns, with appropriate escalation, coordination, and resolution of issues.

    • Strong program and project management abilities, including to independently plan projects, identify objectives and targets, and execute deliverables on-time and on budget while partnering collaboratively with key stakeholders and delivery regular status reporting.

    • Demonstrated experience with managing Compliance operations programs, or their equivalent, such as exclusion screening, conflicts of interest, policy and procedure management, and records retention.

    • Demonstrated experience with facilitating compliance training, communications and education initiatives for employees at all levels of the organization, including developing materials, coordinating deployment, conducting training, and tracking completion rates and feedback.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to distill and communicate complex matters clearly. Strong presentation skills to both large and small audiences across front line staff and leadership.

    • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team, foster a culture of integrity, accountability and excellence, and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment through collaboration and teamwork.

    • Proven experience managing third parties and maintaining relationships with external partners, such as regulatory agencies, industry associations, and legal counsel, to stay informed of emerging compliance trends and best practices.

    • Experience monitoring changes in healthcare laws and regulations, assessing the impact on the organization, and updating compliance programs and policies accordingly.

    • Experience supporting leadership with development of annual workplans, budgets and resource planning and reporting.

    • Experience participating in ongoing risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within the organization, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implementing mitigations.

    • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging, and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).

    • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).

    • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).

    • Experience with designing and/or leveraging data analysis and reporting tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, etc.

    Physical Demand Requirements

    • Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time.

    Travel Requirements: (if required)

    • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

    Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

    • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or similar certification preferred.

    • Formal project management training or certification, or equivalent depth of experience

    • Preference for direct experience in home infusion services, pharmacy and/or nursing compliance programs.

    Due to some state pay transparency laws, below is the minimum pay for the position:

    Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
