A Mechanical Drafter is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Rapid City, SD area.This role involves participating in the design and modeling of electrical harnesses and components, adhering to company standards, collaborating with suppliers, and effectively balancing multiple tasks within a supportive teamwork environment.

responsibilities

• Participate in receiving and tracking engineering requests for specific designs and requirements.

• Adhere to company standards and specifications.

• Assist in design, modeling, detailing, and supplier collaboration.

• Balance multiple jobs and associated timelines.

• Work closely with team members and project leads to identify workload priorities and customer needs.

Skills

• Creativity, communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.

• Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a team.

• Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and principles, including CADD.

• Knowledge of engineering science and technology.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of an Associate's degree required.

• 2-5 years of experience required.
