  • Description: A manufacturing company in Wheeling, IL is looking for a Sr. Cost Accountant to join their team. This position will oversee cost accounting for multiple business entities, daily production review/reporting, invoicing review, and will assist with month-end close. There is plenty of opportunity to advance from this position, but also open to candidates who don't want to climb.

    Job Responsibilities and Duties

    • Booking Journal Entries and updating General Ledger

    • Prepare reporting, inventory of raw materials

    • Cost Accounting Analysis (job, material, cost of goods sold)

    • Cost of good sold for Profit and Loss on Balance Sheet

    • Job Labor Costing

    • Accruals and valuation of inventory

    • Month-End Close Reporting

    • Partner with Warehouse Manager and Plant Manager for inventory control

    Qualifications

    • 6+ years of accounting experience in Manufacturing Industry

    • Cost Accounting experience (Labor, Inventory, and Raw Material)

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

    • Great Plains or SAGE ERP software

    • Intermediate Excel Skills
