Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented UI/UX Engineer to join our team designing and implementing mission critical applications for the US Army! In this role you will get to work with teammates to rapidly create UI wireframes and mockups for complex systems that are intuitive and user friendly. You will also participate in Soldier Touchpoints and evaluate user feedback on the system.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design and build efficient, well tested, and reusable User Interface custom components designs for JAVA and JavaScript based applications

• Work with developers of interactive programs to optimize user experience

• Work with users to improve application navigation and effective access to services and content

• Analyze and interpret requirements from Architecture and the User-centered Design Team

• Ensure consistency with an established software development architecture

• Serve as an integral member of the development team to create practical solutions in Agile/DevOps environment

• Support customer engagements and interacting with system users to capture requirements and feedback as required

• Follow Agile and Scrum best practices, maintain JIRA task log, use a suite of DevSecOps tools including JIRA, Confluence, GitLab. Maintain strong configuration management for newly developed software features

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• U.S. Citizenship is required

• Active Secret clearance is preferred; candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance

• BS in Computer Science, equivalent degree, or previous work experience

• Developed compelling User Interfaces and Visualizations that operate at Big Data scales

• Experience in developing and deploying JavaScript and Java based software architectures

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Have experience working on tactical applications built for the DoD, specifically Army

• Have engaged with users in the field to capture workflows and design considerations

Key Technologies/Skills

• UI Mockup SW (i.e. Figma)

• Material Design best practices

• JAVA / JavaScript Applications

Salary Range

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
