  • Description

    Responsibilities: Supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse and shipping employees by performing the following duties.

    • Train employees on safety, equipment, processes, and quality criteria per the job requirement.

    • Act as the first line person for Safety, Quality, Delivery issues, concerns, and resolutions.

    • Schedule assignments and overtime (as needed or required)

    • Plans layout of warehouse and storage areas while taking into consideration: turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.

    • Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine proper levels /inventory of stock.

    • Traces history of items to determine reasons for material / inventory discrepancies between stock, control records and recommends actions to resolve inconsistencies.

    • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.

    • Issues written and oral instructions.

    • Assigns duties and audit work and workstations for neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures as determined by shop work order.

    • Create to maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances or concerns.

    • Run daily pre-shift meetings with warehouse staff.

    • Participate in daily GEMBA walks.

    • Coordinate changes in work assignments to handle changing priorities.

    • Function as first line employee relations.

    • Participate in and lead meetings with staff as necessary.

    • Participate and contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Participate and manage implementation of procedural changes.

    • Manage execution of Production requests from internal /external stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    • One to three years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Requirements

    • Possess effective communication skills which include verbal and written.

    • Must have experience with Microsoft Office

    • Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware)

    • TW has various shifts; therefore, the start times will vary. The successful candidate must be flexible and be willing to work overtime hours as needed.

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

    • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
