Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a dedicated, attentive Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Lead for immediate employment in New York Metro (AECOM's East Region) to join AECOM's Transportation Structural Engineering/Bridge Team. Here, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs field inspections according to requirements of NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Manual under Team Leader supervision
Prepares inspection and flag reports
Supervises access equipment vendors
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others
Participates in development of technical proposals
Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of related bridge inspection experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam
Completion of the 2-week NHI Course No. 130055 "Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges", OR the 5-day NHI Course No. 130056 "Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges for Professional Engineers"
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 or more years of proven inspection experience
Long span bridge inspection experience
Ability to receive NY PE license within one year
The candidate shall also have taken the NHI Course No. 130053 Bridge Inspection Refresher when required
In addition, the candidate shall have experience performing field coordination and coordination with vendors and clients
Must be able to work at heights, on ladders, on scaffolding and on aerial lifts, or other bridge inspection access equipment, must be able to climb, work in confined spaces, and be able to work under adverse weather conditions
Must have a working knowledge of personal computers in Windows environment and be fully conversant with the NYSDOT inspection and load rating software
