Landscape Maintenance Workers - Seasonal

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Ferncliff Cemetery Association, a non-sectarian cemetery located in Westchester County, New York, serving families throughout greater New York with dignity and respect, is currently seeking responsible individuals to assist in a seasonal landscape maintenance position for a cemetery located in Hartsdale, NY.

This position requires a variety of landscape maintenance tasks to be performed daily, which can include, but are not limited to the following:

• Lawn mowing
• Weeding
• Watering
• Blowing roadways and leaves
• Hedge trimming
• Planting flowers
• Placing plants in the mausoleums, etc.

Additional Duties include:

• Applying fertilizers
• Maintaining landscape design features
• Removing weeds/dead plant material
• And overseeing repairs as needed.

The ideal candidate must be creative, have excellent problem-solving skills and organizational abilities to ensure our facilities maintain a clean, serene atmosphere for the families we assist.

Compensation:

• Hourly wage of $15/Hour.

Qualified candidates must:

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment including such items as lawnmowers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a variety of outdoor conditions for long periods of time.
• Must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
