Morning Show Host

Jazz88-KBEM (Mpls.) is searching for a Morning Show personality to host a Live 6A-10A show, M-F. You should have live on-air experience, an appreciation for jazz, and the ability to gather and deliver brief newscasts. Having fun is also mandatory. We're licensed to the Mpls. Public Schools and are finishing up construction of our brand new state-of-the-art studios & offices! Great union benefits!

• Creates and hosts a live daily morning show for KBEM radio and digital platforms.
• Gathers, edits, and delivers local, regional, and school news.
• Selects and records Public Service Announcements and maintains accurate records for FCC reporting.
• Hosts or emcees KBEM-related functions and events as needed.
• Responds to listener inquiries about music via phone, email, and social media.
• Interviews and records news-makers, artists, musicians, authors, and others for broadcasts.
• Works independently, and makes appropriate decisions based on experience; performs work within the scope of authority and training.
• Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with students, clients, visitors, and MPS staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
• Enthusiastically promotes the Superintendent's goals and priorities in compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records, and MPS information.
• Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis
• At times may be required to work outside normal business hours and work extended hours to accomplish the requirements of the position.
