  • The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of behavior change theory and practice, implementation science, and associated measurement and analytic techniques. The candidate is expected to help bridge these domains using validated statistical tools. Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree.

    Research or scholarship responsibilities may include collaborating and developing the candidate's expertise in methodology while contributing to research efforts on increasing the use of evidence-based mental health interventions in the Public Mental Health Section of the Department of Psychiatry. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty and trainees in the department and collaborating programs.

    The successful applicant will have a solid background in social psychology, cognitive psychology, or related field as it relates to behavior prediction and change, and an early track record of research applying related methods to implementation science. Experience in developing and applying methods in community-based research is required, including a record of publication demonstrating the candidate's ability to contribute substantially to a research program.
